All the caffeine in the world can't seem to handle my lack of energy today. It's just one of those Mondays. It has been a crazy few weeks here and I just can't seem to find a pause button or obviously, the publish button. Sorry for the lack of reading material lately, but life has just royally kicked my rear end and by the day's end I can't even form a sentence, let alone a blog post.
While life seems fly by faster and faster, especially with the holidays coming, I have a few things rolling around my noggin that deserve a post.
The Name Game.
So, thoughts of changing my blog name have filled my daydreams again. I really love Baking Baby Brown but I feel like its only relevant if I'm baking something, 'er someone rather. I'm just thinking of maybe a more generalized name so it encompasses all posts not just human baking ones. It's something I've often thought about after Mykenzi, but have yet to pull the trigger. Not to mention, it will take me 89 years to pick another blog template I like, because a new name deserves new branding, right?! I do have a name in mind, but I'm letting it marinate to see if it can stand the test of time. While I'm marinating names over here, anyone have a great template designer they recommend? Nothing terrible expensive but quality work?
Truth or Dare.
I'm seriously considering adding a monthly installment of truth or dare to my blog. A "Dear Abby" if you will. I've seen a few other bloggers do it and it seems fun and makes for interesting post content. I'm thinking only monthly because I'm not necessarily sure I'll get a flood of questions, but I think it will be fun to give it a try. Obviously the Dare portion won't be as risky as we all remember our middle school dares to be, but maybe a "dare" in the sorts of, "I dare you to answer this question." World Peace.
I finally had to turn of the news this morning. My anxiety levels are at an all time high, and I just can't handle what's going on in the world and our country. Is anybody as terrified as I am? Maybe it's because we live near one of the largest military bases, but I am on high alert. I had to take a break from the news just to get my blood pressure to return to normal levels. I'm totally having a beauty pageant moment, but I really do wish for world peace.
I hear you. We live about 50 miles from DC which makes things not so far removed. It's a scary world to raise babies but we have to remember that it's not all bad and there are good people out there. I love the idea of a truth or dare monthly post! So fun!

ReplyDelete1.) I've been thinking of a blog re-branding too. I think my blog name is pretty generic, but I'm wanting a change. It's so hard to pull the trigger on that though! 2.) Yes to truth or dare. 3.) I just can't watch the news. It breaks my heart and also makes me nervous especially now that I'm a Mom and think more about the future than ever before.
