Yes, Crab Island contains some crabs, but you don't see too many with the amount of people around. It's located just through the pass that leads the Gulf of Mexico waters to our Bays and Bayous.
As for us, we spent the weekend doing yardwork, some DIY projects, and a whole lot of lounging. A pretty successful weekend in my book. Since our house was a foreclosure when we bought it, the yard has needed some major TLC. Which sounds easy in theory, but then you add a baby to the mix and you find yourself scrambling through the yard during your two hour nap window each weekend. Because while she's awake ... there's a whole lotta this:
The hubby took baby duty for a while on Sunday and let me go to town on a little DIY. Just the thing I needed after a crazy week. I sanded my fingers to the bone, and got myself a little workstation for my laptop so I can actually have a place to write my blog. I had to fix one drawer so I'm still putting final touches on, but I'll be sure to share the after picture with you all.
Monday we managed to make it out of the house to Old Navy to take part in their BOGO Shorts Sale. Daddy and Mykenzi made out like bandits, while the only thing I walked out of the store with is another one of their Sports Bras so I can keep prolonging the day I have to wear a regular bra again. Side Note: I don't know about you ladies, but I HATE nursing bras. Hate them ... and maybe I'm breastfeeding challenged, but I can't nurse comfortably in them to save my life. So, this bra it is. I can pop the milk makers out in a cinch. I'm happy, the baby's fed, and that's all that really matters.
And that's that. Super riveting weekend, I know.
Lastly, I just want to thank everyone for entering the Giveaway with Happy Teeth Drooly. I also would like to say "Welcome!" to any new followers I have! Hope you guys stick around!

With that said, let's get to the good stuff! Congratulations to Courtney A. on winning this weekend's Giveaway for an Elephant Teething Clip of your choice! I'm sure your little one will love it!
Oh my goodness... M's face in that first pic -- DEAD!!! Also, Crab Island just doesn't even SOUND fun any more! A weekend at home with the family is exactly what sounds good to be as well!! #whendidwegetOLD
ReplyDeleteWe had a low key weekend here as well. However those waters look amazing, something I would definitely enjoy pre-baby! My goodness, P is ALL OVER THE PLACE these days. Won't sit still to cuddle for the life of her!! I gave up on nursing bras long ago, I simply just fold down the cup of my bra and nurse (although that's mostly in part to going back to work.)
ReplyDeleteLove low key weekends :) We have so many projects to get done around our house too but yeah, with kids things take 10 x as long. And I only wore an actual nursing bra for like 5 minutes years ago and ever since have been wearing sports bras!
