Weekend Things

Another weekend has come and gone and I'm days closer to my little bit turning one.  I'm so stressed out with party prep and this stupid renovation that I really don't have time to be sad that she's officially going to be a Toddler.

Party Prep is in full swing, and I've already lost two cookie people and now its to the point that the party is so close that I probably won't get any cookies.  I also waited to the last minute to refinish her Jenny Lind High Chair I found Oh, I don't know ... 4 Months ago. #procrastinator

Insomnia is in full force, I can't shut my eyes without thinking about every. little. thing.  Which also results in Pinteresting into the wee hours of the morning and laughing way too hard at eCards like this:

In Renovation news, two deadlines have come and gone and I had words with my Contractor about the quickly approaching third deadline which is Mykenzi's Birthday.  I did not mince words, to which he replied, "I can leave right now." Thank God my politically correct husband swooped in to save the day because I was so mad, I probably would've let him walk.  On the brightside, the fireplace is done minus the minor finishing touches.  Can I get a Hallelujah!

What do you think?

In even better news, my husband has taken this week off work so he gets to help contain my crazy a little bit.  Although, after this week he may never take vacation time ever again.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and don't you worry, I keep you updated on my party prep stress!

  1. Awe mama!! Girl I feel you on all this ridiculous party prep stress. Can I say that after months and months of planning a party (for a person who won't even remember) I am over it! haha
Can't wait to see your high chair. I have a post on how my husband refinished ours and it has held up incredibly well. He sealed it too which I highly recommend!

  3. Seriously everyone I know who has worked with a contractor has had issues! Sometimes they seem to be more trouble than anything else. The fireplace looks stunning though!

My little guy turned one a week ago and I don't think it needs to be as sad as everyone makes it out to be-I still get all my snuggles and sloppy kisses :-) good luck with party planning!

  4. Wow! What a decoration! I just loved these flower vases and really thanks for sharing these steps to make homemade vase. Well now, I am searching some places for parties and rent a space for an event. Do you have any idea, which California party place is in demand?
