This week was a busy one full of work meetings, road trips, and play dates. By the time the weekend got here I was certain I could sleep for a week. I got a small case of food poisoning on Saturday, so Saturday night I spent my evening reliving my morning sickness days. Totally fun, and in case you were wondering, which I'm sure you're not, getting sick with huge belly is a lot harder than your early weeks of pregnancy.
On the upside, the weather was beautiful this weekend so we tried to spend as much time outside as possible. I'm getting really excited for Spring and Summer with my littlest gal before her brother makes her debut.
How
far along? 21 weeks, 6 days
Total
weight gain? 10.5lbs ... the pounds are coming on quicker this second half. Although, I feel like most of the poundage is in the upper half of my body this time around, if you catch my drift. With Mykenzi I noticed it more in my butt and thighs.
Maternity
clothes? Getting there. I'm still sliding by with leggings, but I tried on my maternity shorts for this summer and they fit, so as soon as it's warm enough I'll be making that transition.
Stretch
marks? Not yet, I'm still holding strong.
Sleep? Sleep is touch and go by the day. Some nights are really good and some just plain suck.
PEAK
of the week? I got to see my Mom this week. It's always refreshing when I get to sneak in a quick visit with her. We don't get to see each other nearly as often as I would like with her being an hour away.
PIT
of the week? Food poisoning. Ugh, Baby RLB was like nuh-uh, send it back!
Big
Sister? She's doing great. She had a play date and she does so well with other kids. I can't wait to see her interact with her Brother. I hope she likes him as much as she likes other kids.
Daddy? Daddy is champ. Any man that gets up with you in the middle of the night to hold your hair and pass you water while you upchuck EVERYTHING you ate for the last 24 hours is a winner in my book. This pregnancy has been so much harder than my first and he has been so supportive every step of the way. I'm so thankful for him.
Miss
anything? Besides sleep? I miss having at least 10 minutes in between pee breaks. My bladder has been the size of a peanut lately ... probably because there's a little peanut laying on it.
Movement? Yes. He is still more chilled out than Mykenzi ever was but he is so strong often his kicks catch me off guard.
Food
cravings? I've been dying for something sweet and nothing has satisfied that craving until I splurged and got a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Master Blast this week. I'm pretty sure I made some R rated sounds while eating it, but it was seriously the most heavenly thing I've eaten this entire pregnancy.
Anything
making you feel sick or queasy? Apparently, Zoe's Kitchen does make the cut for RLB's menu because that's when things went downhill Saturday, which makes me super sad because I love me some Zoe's.
Gender? Blue and we get to confirm on the 16th! I can't wait!
Symptoms? Round ligament pain has been rough this week and the braxton hicks have been picking up.
Belly
button in or out? Flat.
Happy
or moody? All in all pretty happy. I do have some serious bouts of emotions which I find weird for having a boy because they usually say girls make you emotional. I also think it has a lot to do with second pregnancy emotions and realizing we only have a few short months of having an only child. It's exciting, terrifying, and bittersweet.
Looking
forward to? The anatomy scan! I can't wait to see my little guy! It's been too long!

I just burst out laughing about the R rated sounds over your ice cream, but I totally feel you and get it! You are looking adorable, by the way, such a gorgeous mama!
