Liebster Award 2016

First, let me start by thank you all for reading my last post and commenting with so many words of encouragement and support.  There were a few of you that it wouldn't let me email back so, if you didn't get an email that's why, but know that your comment was read and greatly appreciated!  You guys are amazing and I can't thank you enough for supporting little blog of mine.

Okay, on to today's post.

Some cool things are happening around here y'all!  I got nominated for a Liebster Award!  I know what you're thinking, a what?  A Liebster Award!  Well, unless you are my nominees who think it's an "alienated" award because my iPhone hates me and loves to auto correct everything.  Sorry ladies, my bad.  I'm sure you all thought you were getting Punk'd for a second.  Glad I cleared that up before things got awkward.

So, a Liebster Award is an honorary award given from one blogger to another blogger.  Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicests, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome.  I mean, I don't know a lot about awards, but that has my name written all over it. Hah, I kid.  In all seriousness though, it is such an honor to be nominated for the first time and the beautiful Julie from The Journey of Imperfection is nothing short of those things.  I'm so thankful this blogging community has brought us together.  This little community is so amazing to be a part of and the relationships built through the world of blogging are invaluable.

Annie: Something About Navy - Annie is a dear friend of mine and we are actually from the same town.  Sadly, she'll be leaving me for Knoxville, Tennessee soon where she'll dive back into blog world.  She has amazing fashion sense and can whip up a mean cupcake.  Her Insta is full of amazing #ootd's that you just can't miss, and if you ever have the privilege of getting your hands on an Annie Cake, I promise you won't be disappointed. She is also a Mom of a 3 year old little girl who is full of spunk, sass, and shares her Mother's amazing fashion sense.

Jessica: The Winchester Wife - Jessica is settled in Chicago with her husband and sweet little tot.  I can always count on her for a good laugh through her posts.  During Bachelor Season you'll definitely want to follow along as she gives the most amazing recaps of the episodes that are basically better than watching the episodes themselves.

Allison: Nestful of Love - Allison is one of the sweetest Momma's I've had the privilege of meeting on this crazy blogging journey.  She's got the most handsome little guy in her life and I can always count on her to keep it real with #momlife while always finding the silver lining.

Candice: Candice Cronan Blog - Candice is the ultimate girl Mom.  With 3 little ladies and a 4th on the way she's got this Mom thing down.  Always full of great advice and encouraging words for us newer Moms.  We're all anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Girl Cronan 4 and I'm excited to see where that takes her blogging.

Charla: Lattes & Lullabies - Charla is another Mom I can count on for a good laugh.  Always putting a hilarious twist on Motherhood, because let's face it sometimes you just have to laugh at the chaos.  She's a mom of two little ladies with the most precious names!  Blogging isn't her only calling, she also owns the sweetest little Etsy Shop full of the cutest little bows!


Now that you have some amazing new Mommas to follow, let's move on to the questions Julie left for me.

1.  Do you have kids (fur babies count)?  I have 1 daughter (just shy of 20 months) and a little man due in July.  I also have 2 fur kitty babies who most days test my patience more than my toddler, but I still love them.

2.  If you could live anywhere, where would it be?  Anywhere tropical.  I'm a beach baby through and through.  I just need the sun and the sand and my life would be complete.

3. How did you get into blogging?  I started my blog to document my 1st pregnancy.  I had no idea blogging would take off the way it did and surely didn't think anyone would really be interested in reading what I had to say.  It's been a crazy fun ride.

4. Favorite music artist?  I'm going to go totally tween on you and say Taylor Swift.  Not only is she really the most humble celebrity out there, but I love that she writes her own music and does everything for her fans.  Plus, her songs are so damn catchy and instantly put me in a good mood.

5. How would your friends describe you?  My friends? They usually describe me as the short, crafty one, thanks to my 5ft stature and need for DIY.  But, I'd hope that when they think of me they they'd describe me as honest and caring because those are two things that are important to me in my friendships.

6. If you could live in any era, which would you choose?  Oh gosh, I don't know I love different things about different eras.  But, I'd have to say the roaring twenties.  The fashion, the entertainment, it just seems like such a great time to be alive.

7. What was your favorite TV show growing up?  Saved by the Bell, who didn't love that show?!

8. Do you have any phobias?  Thunderstorms and Tornadoes.  I know it sounds weird, but I'm a full on 5 year old when it comes to thunderstorms.  They scare the bejeezus out of me and if there is any type of "Watch" or "Warning" I just know that means a tornado is going to hunt me down.  I have no idea where this stems from but I've been terrified of storms since I was young.

9. If a movie were made about your life, what would the title be?  For some reason, 

Hot Mess Express comes to mind but I'd hope it would be something that sounds more interesting.

10. What is your least favorite chore around the house?  Dishes.  Yuck.  I can't stand dishes, I'd rather scrub a toilet.  Thankfully, my husband doesn't mind taking the brunt of that chore.

11. If you could meet anyone (past or present), who would it be?  I'm thinking presently, I'd love to meet all these Blogger Mommas face to face.  We all have built these amazing relationships through our blogs and social media that I'd love to get to know them in person.
