I used the bag for the first few months after having Mykenzi and quickly realized two things.
1. I needed more space.
2. I missed carrying my purse.
I know number two sounds kind of stupid, but I felt like I lost everything after having a baby. My body, my 2 DR car I loved so much, my wardrobe, the list goes on. Nothing was mine anymore and when you are carrying a bag full of blankets, diapers, and toys the last thing you are thinking about is carrying your own purse in addition to a diaper bag. In fact, my debit cards, license, and chapstick reside in a wristlet floating around somewhere in the diaper bag. #momlife
Then one random morning, dressed in week old leggings, a tee with dried spit up stains, and sporting a bald spot the size of Africa (thank you postpartum hair loss), my sweet husband gave me a slice of my sanity back. It was this Coach Diaper Bag complete with endless pockets. Not only was the diaper bag more useful, with more space, and easier access, it made me feel like it was my bag which brought a small sense of normal in the ever changing hormones moments of Motherhood.

This beauty also happens to be gender neutral so if babe #2 happens to be a boy, I can still rock the bag. And, I let you in on a little secret. I didn't pay the $400 price tag this carries ... someone was selling theirs locally NWT, so I snagged this baby for $75 bucks. #winning
If you are a part of a FB Baby Resale group, chances are someone has something like this laying around that they are willing to sell you.
So as silly as it is, that's what I can't live without this week. Can't live without something? Visit Steph, Laura, and Cait to share!
Enjoy your weekend ladies!
I'm about to start the great diaper bag search and I can't decide if I want a more traditional bag or more of a purse type. Glad you find one you love!

Good for you. What a great item. You are so right, we lose a bit of ourselves when we become mothers. So little things like this, help us feel like "us."
ReplyDeleteoh, what a sweet hubby you have! and post partum hair loss is no joke, right!? thanks for linking up, mama! xo
ReplyDeletethat bag though. It's gorgeous! I think it's one of the biggest reasons I've held strong with using my longchamp as my go to bag for everything. Make me feel like some semblance of the person I was before I became a mother. Bless your husband for being so sweet :)
