Weekend Things: Baby Shower Edition

This past weekend was a busy one.  I had the chance to help Shower a dear friend for the upcoming arrival of her sweet baby girl.  She helped with my Baby Shower so it was a sweet treat to help with hers.  We were the two of our friend group that were so scared to have kids and swore we would never do it.  Now a a year apart, we both have sweet baby girls to share life with.  Pre-motherhood is a tricky thing. Taking the baby plunge was the scariest yet most wonderful decision I've ever made and I'm so excited for her to feel all the wonderful things Motherhood has to offer.

She swore she was having a boy, so when purple balloons flew out of the box at her Gender Reveal party that's when the real fun started.  Don't tell her, but all of us knew it was a girl. Haha.  Even Dad had a suspicion sparkles and bows were in his future.  Once Mom's shock set in, party planning went underway.  It didn't take long for all things girly to start coming together for the sweet Mom-to-be. She armed us with the most adorable Hot Air Balloon theme with a Blush/Coral and Mint color scheme and we took it from there.

The Grandmas-to-be took the brunt of the planning while us girls crafted decor and got some games together.  One of the fun and funniest games we played was "Draw a Baby" where you put a paper plate on top of your head and try to draw your best version of a baby on it without looking.  Hilarious, and some people have some serious drawing on your head art skills!

And of course, no shower is complete without spoiling the baby with the sweetest gifts.  All the lace and ruffles had me in some serious baby fever, ready to have a little girl all over again. #thestruggleisreal

Now that the Momma-to-be has been showered and that sweet baby girl has been spoiled, we just need October to get her so we can all meet her!

I was so busy running around and trying to make sure I got ALL the pictures that I forgot to get a picture of me and the Momma-to-be! I'll be sure to get a picture with that sweet bump before October!
