B2 Bumpdate: 16 Weeks

I literally have 3 fully written blog posts just chillin' in my draft folder, maybe one day they'll get published.  This week was a bit of a doozy.  Mykenzi was sick which of course means no sleep for Mom and Dad.  Night fevers are the worst and the hardest time to keep them comfortable.  I basically slept with a 25lb toddler on my chest all week because that is the only place she would sleep.  You do what you gotta do folks, that sleep stuff is precious!  By morning, it felt like a boulder had been lifted of my chest, and hopefully she didn't squish her brother too bad.  We got her better all for me to wake up with a sore throat this morning.  I really hope it's nothing serious because I've literally just started feeling better this pregnancy, getting sick is the last thing I want.

On a positive note, I finally had Red Meat and it was glorious!  I started craving Sushi, which for me is not really Sushi at all.  I'm allergic to shellfish so that really limits what "Sushi" I can have ... throw pregnancy on top of that and I can have about 1 type of roll.  I always get the Cowboy Roll which is Steak (fully cooked), Avocado, and Spicy Mayo, but I sub the Spicy Mayo for Cream Cheese.  It is yuuum wrapped in rice, y'all.  I was really nervous that I wanted it so bad with my Red Meat aversion, but I figured that was my body's way of telling me it was ready.  Not only was it amazing, but it stayed down! Winning!

How far along?  16 weeks, 3 days

Total weight gain?  Still 4lbs, I haven't been keeping up with my weight this time like I was the last time. Mainly because my scale battery died and I'm too lazy to change it.

Maternity clothes?  Shirts because they're comfy, but mostly still in my regular clothes.

Stretch marks?  Not yet!

Sleep?  I will be happy to see sleep again! This week was rough!

PEAK of the week?  This week was a really big growing week for us as parents.  We took something that we contemplating for sometime now, took the time to research benefits and risks, and in the process learned a lot about ourselves and the way we want to parent.  It was nice connecting with my husband on a different level where conversations didn't revolve around poop and chicken nuggets.

PIT of the week?  A sick baby, enough said.

Big Sister?  She's had better weeks, but she is finally on the up and up.  I really didn't mind the extra snuggles though.

Daddy?  He gets 5 gold stars this week.  He made pregnancy dreams come true by buying me Sushi twice this week.  He's a keeper.

Miss anything?  Summer.  There's an Insta Momma out there (if you read this, you know who you are!) who is on a tropical vacation and the need for Summer is real!  I need the beach, the sun, and a little bit of color on this bump.

Movement?  Yes, I am confident I felt him move this week.  So different from the way I felt Mykenzi move.

Food cravings?  Sushi, Lenny's Chicken Philly still going strong, anything sweet, and I may or may not have had two bags of Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies for breakfast 3 days in a row.

Anything making you feel sick or queasy?  Actually, things have been decent this week and it only took me 16 weeks to be able to type that!

Gender?  Boy, we're told!

Symptoms?  Constant hunger, itchy belly, and sense of smell is still crazy.

Belly button in or out?  It's a flatty.

Happy or moody?  Despite a sick little nugget and no sleep it was actually a really happy week.

Looking forward to?  Cooking more.  I've been a little slacker for the last couple of months because of my appetite that cooking things has taken a back seat.  We literally had two different meals I cooked constantly because it was all I could stomach to eat, so I'm excited to diversify our menu again.
