Since I'm knee deep in a hard hat area, I figured I'd get lost in daydreams of how I want to revamp our living room once the fireplace is done. As much as I would like to overhaul and repaint everything to a bright gray and white, I don't have the funds to afford a new living room set, not to mention, I'm not buying new couches until my child learns not to lick couch cushions or stick her sticky little hands to fabrics that can't be thrown in a washing machine. Ahh, mom life.
So, with that said, our Khaki warm toned couches will be keeping their space as a part of this family for a while longer, forcing me to kiss my gray colored schemed dreams goodbye. My living room is a "cozy" space, I believe that's fancy Realtor talk for small, but it does the job. The current color scheme is Navy, Olive, and Gold ... I told ya, I can't say no to Gold. It's a problem.
This is what my fireplace is aspiring to look like:
Except our TV will be above the Mantle.
Here are a few things I'm dreaming of to dress up the space. All things are from Joss and Main, this isn't a sponsored post, I just love what they have to offer!
Maybe I'll have some "After" pictures to show you before too long. Until then I'll be wishing this is what my living room looked like.
Happy Hump Day!
Hang in there, mama! Your new space will be so worth it in the long run! :)
ReplyDeleteGirl, where have you been? That reno is clearly doing a number on your posts :( miss reading about your life.
ReplyDeleteand you'll get through this, the end result is always worth it. And yes, sticky hands on the couch at all times. Sophie loves hiding food in the couch...
