Maternity Sneak Peek: Tay Gray Photography & Sew Trendy Accessories

Maternity pictures I think are my favorite sessions that photographers do.  I just think its a beautiful season on life for parents and to have those memories framed forever is priceless.  I didn't think I could love maternity pictures and more than when I was pregnant with Mykenzi, and then I got our "Sneak Peek" of Rowan's session and they nearly brought me to tears.  Not because they are extra beautiful or anything, which they are, because let's be real, my photographer is freaking amazing! But, mostly because it's not just me and my husband, it's me, my husband, and my daughter anticipating the arrival of a new little blessing that will complete our family.  There is something truly heartwarming about seeing your first little blessing interact with your second little blessing before he/she has even enters the world.

If you've been following along for a while, you may remember my maternity session with Tay Gray Photography when I was pregnant with Mykenzi.  Taylor is a long time friend and she is truly amazing at what she does.  I can't explain pictures with her other than magic because they always turn out better than I could ever envision.  I'm honored to not only have her in my life as a dear friend, but also as my photographer.  The pictures she captures will be cherished for a lifetime and thank you hardly seems good enough for that.

One of my favorite parts about working with Taylor is being a part of the creative process.  We always work together to iron out ideas, pick color schemes, and share the same vision of what we want out of a shoot.  This time was no exception.  I knew I wanted to do another photoshoot in a gown, but I didn't want the same gown I did with Mykenzi.  When I showed her a picture of a gown I was looking at the ideas started coming at us full speed.  In addition to Taylor, I was honored to be able to work with Sew Trendy Accessories and ordered the "Jessica Gown" from their line.  It is a knit gown made to order by your measurements and it fit flawlessly.

Since Rowan will be born so close to the 4th of July, we ran with that as our theme.  Taylor and I chose Red for my dress, put my husband in Blue, and Mykenzi in White.  Instead of our normal garden or beach shoot, we chose Fort Pickens, a military Fort local to us.  As if that wasn't patriotic enough, coincidentally, we scheduled the shoot on Memorial Day weekend.  Not on purpose, but a fun story to tell.  Seeing all of our planning come to fruition in these photos is amazing.  They are absolutely stunning and for lugging around 30 extra pounds, I sure did feel beautiful.

Thank you Taylor of Tay Gray Photography for capturing these memories I will hold onto forever and thank you to Sew Trendy Accessories for designing the most beautiful gown I could've ever dreamed of ... these pictures would be nothing without the both of you.
