The Ultimate "Dad Gift" with JORD

Wooden Wrist Watch

I like to think I'm a pretty good gift giver and then my Husband always blows me out of the water with something special.  Each time he gives me a gift it's always super thoughtful and full of a ton of meaning while I spend my days scrambling around trying to be that thoughtful in my gift giving ventures.

In May, we celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary which has Father's Day quickly approaching behind.  I knew I wanted to do something special for the two occasions but my brain just could not put anything together.  Everything that I thought of just felt so blah and impersonal.  The 5th Wedding Anniversary is your Wooden Anniversary, so I knew I wanted to really celebrate that, but with what?  He doesn't need a wooden name plate for his desk, he certainly didn't need personalized golf tees, and while I'm sure he'd appreciate a cool flask, it didn't exactly scream thoughtful. Just when I was about to give up on the wooden theme all together, fate stepped in, and JORD saved the day.  JORD creates beautiful one of a kind time pieces for Men and Women.  All their watches are hand-crafted from all natural woods that are each unique in their own way.  It was THE perfect gift.  The last time I bought my watch loving Husband a quality time piece was our 1st Anniversary, so he was definitely due for one.

I spent days deciding between 4 watches.  It had to be perfect, but I just loved them all and couldn't decide on which beauty to get him.  I finally bit the bullet and decided on the Dover Series in Zebrawood & Black Sandalwood and I know guy stuff isn't supposed to be beautiful, but y'all, this watch is seriously gorgeous!  The Zebrawood in contrast to the Dark Sandalwood adds the perfect amount of flare while still being subtle enough to wear with everything.

When I received the package I wanted to rip it open myself, but for once, I had totally pulled off an amazing surprise for my Husband so I counted down the hours until he got off work and could come  home to open it.  When he finally got home, I'm pretty sure I word vomited all over the place with excitement and somehow he managed to pick up what I was saying and was totally surprised!

From the packaging to the watch, his eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas.  Thankfully, I was smart enough to measure the inside of his other watch with JORD's measuring tools and the watch fit him perfectly, so there was no need for us to re-size it.  For being wood, it's light weight and very sturdy.  It doesn't feel too delicate to wear, which for a man is great because we all know they aren't that delicate with anything.  The wood combination goes perfectly with his office attire during the day, and still compliments his casual wear when he is off the clock.  It was the perfect gift for our Anniversary and Father's Day.

Want a wood watch for that special man in your life? Heck, want a wood watch for yourself? JORD has been amazing enough to let me give away a $75 credit to shop their watches!  Enter HERE for your chance to win!  Giveaway ends 6/12 and the winner will be chosen at random by JORD.  Just for entering this giveaway JORD is giving you a $20 e-voucher to shop their watches!  So basically, you all win!

And let's give it up for my sexy model! Because if he's not in front of the lens modeling things for me, he's behind the lens being bossed around about what shots to get.  This blog wouldn't be possible without his support and for that, I am very thankful.

I received these items courtesy of JORD Wood Watches, as always here at Baking Baby Brown, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. In addition, this post may contain affiliate links.  Thank you for supporting the brands that support Baking Baby Brown

  1. You definitely hit a home run with this gift! I gave my hubby a wooden watch for Christmas (made from reclaimed wood from a whiskey barrel) and I was so proud of myself because it was a complete surprise!
